NOPD reports Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick hits two pedestrians
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating following a crash involving Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick that left one person injured.
According to the NOPD, the crash happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Decatur and Iberville streets on Aug. 3.

It was initially reported Kirkpatrick struck a man and a woman with her vehicle.
The woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. The man has not claimed any injuries at this time.

According to NOPD officers, Kirkpatrick took a breathalyzer and urinalysis tests per NOPD crash protocols. The results of the breathalyzer test read 0.00. The urinalysis results will be ready in a few days.
On Sunday, Aug. 4, the NOPD reported that the woman suffered minor injuries and has been released from medical treatment.
NOPD officials said Kirkpatrick was on duty at the time of the incident, and was on her way home from visiting an injured officer at a hospital.
According to the NOPD, the case will be turned over to the Louisiana State Police once the NOPD Traffic Section finishes its investigation.
The NOPD did not release additional information.
