North Carolina man charged following head-on crash on Route 33

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Carolina man was charged with DWI following a head-on crash early Sunday morning that injured another man, Buffalo Police said.

Just after 2:30 a.m., Isiah Glover, 43, was allegedly traveling the wrong way on Route 33 near the Best Street exit. His Ford Edge struck another vehicle head-on, according to police.

Police said a 25-year-old Cheektowaga driver was hit and was later transported to ECMC where he was taken into surgery for multiple injuries. Glover was not hurt in the crash.

In addition to DWI, Glover was charged with second-degree vehicular assault and driving the wrong direction on a one-way roadway.

Glover was remanded without bail and is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday for a felony hearing.
