North Hampton School Board candidate Frank Ferraro
Name: Frank Ferraro
Education: AAS, chemical engineering technology; BS, chemical engineering; Master of Business Administration
Occupation: Retired
Political or civic experience highlights: North Hampton Municipal Budget Committee, 6 years; North Hampton Capital Improvement Plan Committee member; Exeter Select Board member; Select Board representative to the Planning Board; and Municipal Budget Advisory Committee member.
What would be your top three priorities if you are elected?: ? Deliver academic excellence to students and families.? Increase transparency of North Hampton School and School Board.? Ensure a secure educational environment.
How should the school district handle requests to remove books from the library or curriculum?: Any books in a school should be age appropriate. If it would be inappropriate to read a book and show pictures from the book at a School Board meeting, the book is probably inappropriate to be available in North Hampton School.
Do you support the expansion of education freedom accounts in New Hampshire?: This might not be a matter for the School Board to determine. If I were running for a state legislative office, I would study the costs and benefits of any expansion of a previous program.
What else should voters know about your views on local schools and public education?: I want to ensure that North Hampton School teachers and administrators provide our students and families with academically excellent results, while being mindful of the burden on taxpayers and the role of parents in their child’s education, and I will fight to keep North Hampton School tax dollars in North Hampton.
