Northern Wisconsin home a ‘total loss’ after porch fire spreads, additional home damaged

PELICAN, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple fire departments worked to put out a porch fire that had spread to a northern Wisconsin home, causing it to be deemed a ‘total loss.’

A Facebook post from the Pine Lake Fire Rescue details the incident and shows multiple photos of the fire that began around 12:10 a.m. on October 5 in the Town of Pelican on Harmony Hills Court.

Authorities say the fire began on the porch and quickly spread to the house. Multiple departments were called in to assist, however, the house was described as a total loss after the fire was put out.

It was also noted that all of the home’s occupants were able to safely evacuate and an additional home next door suffered some heat damage.

Firefighters were at the home on Harmony Hills Court for roughly four hours.
