NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Mayor Eric Adams announced Tuesday that the city is handing out 10,000 free tickets to the Macy’s July 4 fireworks show.
The tickets will be available to the general public on Wednesday at 10 a.m. on a first-come first-served basis, according to the mayor. Attendees will be limited to two tickets per person and will be able to view the stunning display from Pier 84 and Pier 45.
To make the event even more special, the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show is returning to the Hudson River for the first time in 10 years.
This year’s show will have prime locations to watch in Manhattan between West 14th and West 34th Streets, as well as in Hoboken and parts of Jersey City and Weehawken in New Jersey.

“While all New Yorkers will be able to take part in the illumination of our sky at the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, our administration is making sure that 10,000 lucky New Yorkers have an opportunity to enjoy the show with a front row seat,” Mayor Adams said Tuesday. “We’re making sure everyone has a fair shot at attending one of the city’s most exciting and iconic events. I look forward to joining the thousands of viewers celebrating America’s birthday right here in the Big Apple.”
