Oak Mountain Amphitheater closing out 2024 season with Post Malone concert in October
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Award-winning singer Post Malone will be the final music act to play the Oak Mountain Amphitheater before the end of its 2024 season.
Malone, who has sold over 80 million records worldwide and collaborated with artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Taylor Swift, will play at the venue on Oct. 15. Malone’s show was first announced back in June.
“Post Malone hits our stage in less than a month for our last show here at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre,” staff wrote in a Facebook message Monday. “#Postylovers, who’s lovin’ the new album as much as we are?! What’s your favorite track on Post Malone’s new album, F-1 Trillion?! We can’t wait to hear this album live on October 15. Who’s coming?”
The Oak Mountain Amphitheatre first opened in 1986 and has hosted many different bands and singers over the years, from Dave Matthews Band to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Widespread Panic, James Taylor and many others. In 2002, John Mayer recorded his first live album, “Any Given Sunday,” at the amphitheater.
