Ocean City launches new transportation app. All to know before you hop on for a ride.
Ocean City has launched a new app for all of your transportation needs.
Officially dubbed "OCMD Beach Bus," the app allows users to track the real-time location of vehicles on Coastal Highway Beach Bus and West Ocean City Park and Ride routes. The app, which launched in March, displays notifications and real-time information for all Ocean City, Maryland, transit buses.
The town's former bus tracking service, TransLoc, came to an end in January 2024.
The resort town shared its transportation department is also aiming to move to electronic fare payments in the future. Even so, electronic fare payments will not be in place during the upcoming summer season.
Bus passengers can access the new OCMD Beach Bus app through the web at https://ocmd.rider.peaktransit.com/ or by downloading it on their Android and Apple devices.
