Officer accused of rape no longer with Niagara Falls PD
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Niagara Falls police officer who was arrested on a rape charge in April no longer works for the department, the NFPD confirmed to WIVB News 4 on Wednesday.
Martice Porter was charged with three counts of third-degree rape earlier this year. Police said in April that the investigation began following a report of a sex offense involving a juvenile. Porter was 21 years old at the time of his arrest.
Porter was sworn in as a Niagara Falls police officer in November 2023, according to a Facebook post from the mayor’s office.
