One dead, another arrested in nighttime homicide in Wisconsin
SUPERIOR, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in northwestern Wisconsin are investigating a homicide after a disturbance call on Sunday night.
According to a release, on Oct. 6, 2024, at around 9:15 p.m., officers with the Superior Police Department responded to the 2400 block of Ogden Ave. for a report of a disturbance.

The caller stated that a man familiar to them was walking around their garage and shining a flashlight in the windows.
As officers arrived on the scene, they heard multiple gunshots, but couldn’t immediately determine where they were coming from. Officers approached the garage of the residence and located the person who called 911 attempting to help a man who was lying on the floor.
The release says that officers determined the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died as a result of his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Officers and detectives worked to locate the suspect, who was found at a residence in Iron River. He was apprehended overnight without further incident.
The Superior Police Department believes this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. This investigation remains active, and more details will be provided when they’re available.
