One dead in Bourbon Street shooting
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans man is dead following a shooting that occurred near the intersection of Bourbon Street and St. Louis Street in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 10.
One person dead in Causeway Boulevard crash
According to the New Orleans Police Department, Eighth District officers were notified around 3:55 a.m. that a person had been shot. On arrival, the victim was found lying near the intersection.
Emergency services also arrived on scene and took the man to a local hospital where he was later declared dead.
Detectives are investigating to identify any responsible parties as well as a motive.
No additional information was provided regarding the case.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 26-year-old Andre K. Preston on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
