One dead in Hoffman Triangle fatal shooting
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man is dead following a shooting that took place in the Hoffman Triangle neighborhood of New Orleans on Saturday, Aug. 24.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting, which occurred in the 3700 block of Washington Avenue, was reported around 2:48 p.m.

On arrival, officers found a man lying unresponsive in a courtyard, having been shot in the body at least once. He was then transported by EMS to a local hospital where, at 3:59 p.m., he was confirmed to have died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives are currently investigating.
The Orleans Parish coroner identified the victim as 47-year-old Richard L. Milton on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
