One dead in multi-vehicle crash north of Topeka: KHP
Update 6:29 p.m.: The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) released the crash log for the fatality crash on Highway 75 Friday afternoon.
According to the KHP crash log, three vehicles and five people were involved in the incident. The crash narrative states a Hyundai Santa Cruz, carrying a driver and passenger, a Kia Soul with a driver and a Ford Edge, with a driver and passenger inside, were driving southbound on Highway 75. The Ford was stopped in traffic, according to the crash log. The Hyundai hit the Kia, then the Kia hit the Ford. After, the Hyundai then hit the Ford.
The driver of the Kia was taken to a local hospital, and later died. The driver of the Kia was identified as Matthew Tetuan, 35, of Topeka. The four other individuals involved in the crash had no apparent injuries, according to the crash log.
SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) troopers are at the scene of a crash on Highway 75 in Shawnee County which is backing up traffic.
April McCollum with the KHP told 27 News state troopers were called around 2:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 to a crash involving several vehicles on Highway 75 near where it passes over Northwest 35th Street in Shawnee County. She said this is an active investigation.
KHP spokeswoman Candice Breshears told 27 News around 5 p.m. that one person was killed in the crash which involved three vehicles. Other injuries associated with this crash are unknown at this time.

Southbound lanes on Highway 75 were closed until around 5:15 p.m. as crews cleared debris from the crash. More information is set to be released in the near future by the KHP.
