One woman dead, three people hurt following head-on crash in Oconto County
MOUNTAIN, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Oconto County say that one woman has died and three other people, including a 15-year-old driver, were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash Sunday evening.
According to a release from the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 5:31 p.m. to reports of a crash on State Highway 32 near the intersection of Sparky’s Lane in the town of Mountain.

Officials say a Subaru SUV, driven by a 15-year-old girl, with two passengers, a 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, all from Lake Tomahawk, was heading north on State Highway 32 when a Chevrolet SUV heading south hit it head-on.
The Subaru SUV was found in the ditch with extensive damage and a number of its occupants trapped inside while the Chevrolet SUV was left in the southbound lane of State Highway 32 also with extensive damage.
Deputies report that the 51-year-old woman passenger of the Subaru SUV died at the scene while the 15-year-old driver and the 54-year-old passenger were immediately taken to a hospital in the area.

The driver of the Chevrolet SUV, a 30-year-old man from Fond du Lac, was taken to a hospital in Green Bay.
At this time, no other information is available and an investigation of the incident conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office is ongoing.
