New Orleans men arrested in separate child pornography investigations

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Two New Orleans men have been arrested in connection with two separate child pornography investigations on Wednesday, July 17.
The Office of Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill reported that 22-year-old Jerred Franklin and 76-year-old Richard Howard II were arrested after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The attorney general’s office reported General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit worked with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and the New Orleans Police Department to conduct the investigations.
Franklin faces two counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.

Howard faces eight counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
Franklin and Howard were booked into the Orleans Justice Center.
