New Orleans police searching for car in fatal I-610 crash

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are looking to identify and locate a car believed to be involved in a fatal crash that happened on Interstate 610 West on Wednesday, July 17. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The NOPD reported officers responded to a crash involving a Chevrolet Camaro and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 610 West near the Elysian Fields exit around 5:50 a.m.

They said the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, July 23, the NOPD released a photo of a car that they believe to be involved with the crash.

According to the NOPD, the car is described as a white Acura that should have damage to its driver’s side. Investigators said the driver allegedly fled the scene

So far, more than 470 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
