“Every day, passengers rely on Niagara Falls International Airport and Buffalo Niagara International Airport to fly out of and into Western New York,” Gillibrand said. “It is vital that the infrastructure at the two airports is up-to-date to ensure safe travel.”
166 existing airfield guidance signs will be reconstructed, and an existing primary wind cone and existing airport rotating beacon will be replaced at the Niagara Falls International Airport.
Construction supervision will be funded by the $136,047 for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, which will include minimizing foreign object debris and rehabilitating the pavement to maintain structural integrity.
