OWI arrest for Fond du Lac driver who hit pedestrian, caused life-threatening injuries
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 31-year-old driver was arrested for OWI after they allegedly hit a pedestrian in Fond du Lac Friday night, sending the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, officers and first responders were called to West Division Street between Main and Macy Streets after a vehicle hit a pedestrian around 9 p.m.
After reviewing initial information, officers believe that a 42-year-old Fond du Lac man was hit by a vehicle, driven by a 31-year-old Fond du Lac resident, going westbound on Division Street.

The 42-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 31-year-old driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was reportedly arrested for Operating While Impaired – Causing Great Bodily Harm.
Officers say the incident remains under active investigation and are not releasing any additional information at this time.
