Westbank Expressway reopens after power lines fall across roadway
GRETNA, La. (WGNO) — The Westbank Expressway has reopened in Gretna on Monday, July 22.
Jefferson Parish leaders announced the elevated and lower parts of the roadway were closed due to downed power lines near Manhattan Boulevard.

The Entergy outage map indicates that over 2,000 customers were without power in the area.
Entergy crews were on the scene. The power company announced that while service has been restored to most customers, those who live the closest to the repairs won’t have their power restored until around 6 p.m. Monday.
The roadway reopened around 5:30 p.m.
