Passenger killed after being ejected from car in Jefferson Parish crash
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead in Jefferson Parish on Sunday, Aug. 4.
The LSP reported the crash happened on US 90B near Gaudet Drive around 5 a.m.

They said an initial investigation shows a Honda was heading east on the upper level of US 90B when the driver lost control, drove off the road and hit a guardrail. The Honda then reportedly fell over the guardrail and onto the lower level of US 90B.
The passenger was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the LSP, the passenger was not restrained at the time of the crash.

The driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and a routine toxicology sample was collected.
