Pedestrian killed after being hit by car in Washington Parish
BOGALUSA, La. (WGNO) — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle while walking on Louisiana Highway 21 on Sunday, July 21.
According to Troop L with the Louisiana State Police, the investigation revealed that as the pedestrian was walking in the southbound lane of the highway near Lees Creek Road, a 2005 Buick LeSabre was going down the same lane.

The car struck the person, and they were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian will not be disclosed until the person’s family is contacted.
The driver of the Buick, however, was not injured.
Part of Westbank Expressway closed due to downed power lines
For the investigation, the LSP reported that toxicology samples would be taken from the driver and pedestrian for further examination.
The LSP advises pedestrians and motorists to “remain vigilant” to their surroundings when they are on the road.
