Pedestrian killed in Northeast Portland early morning crash
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Northeast Portland’s Cully Neighborhood early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Just after 3 a.m., Portland police officers responded to a report of a crash in the 5800 block of Northeast Lombard Street near Northeast Holman Street.

On arrival, they found a woman dead at the scene. The driver involved in the crash had left the area but called police from nearby, authorities said.
Northeast Lombard Street was closed for several hours for the duration of the investigation.
Police say no arrests have been made at this time.

According to PPB, this is the 12th fatal crash involving a pedestrian this year in the city of Portland.
