SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — First in Pittsburgh at a grant announcement and today in Shippensburg talking about education, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is facing growing questions over the possibility of being nominated to run as Kamala Harris’ Vice Presidential nominee.

Shapiro reiterated on Tuesday that the current Vice President Harris has “an incredibly important and deeply personal decision to make” on who she wants to run with, campaign with, and possibly serve with.

Shapiro also stated multiple times that he has not been asked to submit paperwork as part of the Vice Presidential vetting process.

“Vice President Harris is an extraordinary nominee for our party,” said Shapiro on Tuesday. “And she’s going to be the 47th President of the United States and I’m going to work my tail off for her.”

When asked about the shortlist for Vice President, Shapiro said “I don’t know what list I’m on.”

Harris and Shapiro were both Attorneys General in their respective states, though their terms did not line up by just a few days. Shapiro has remarked multiple times that he and Harris, whom he’s endorsed, have known each other for nearly 20 years.
