Pensacola City Administrator Kerrith Fiddler announces resignation

Pensacola City Administrator Kerrith Fiddler is resigning from his position with the city.

Fiddler made the announcement that he was stepping down during a Pensacola City Council agenda conference on Monday.

"For family reasons, I've decided to resign as city administrator," Fiddler said.

Fiddler said his last day at the city will be July 5.

Fiddler was promoted to the city's top position in 2021 by former Mayor Grover Robinson when former city administrator Keith Wilkins retired.

Fiddler joined the city in 2019 as assistant city administrator after coming to Pensacola from Kissimmee, where he was public works and engineering director for five years.

As city administrator, Fiddler oversaw the daily operations of the city and reported directly to the mayor.

Fiddler's announcement came at the end of the agenda conference Monday where the City Council reviews the agenda ahead of its regular Thursday meeting.

"Thank you to my co-workers," Fiddler said. "It's been a blessing."
