Peoria man has been identified as the person killed in scooter accident
Shadrick Johnson, 35, of Peoria has been identified as the man killed in a scooter accident on Monday.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Johnson was pronounced dead at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center around 5:05 p.m. on Monday.
His cause of death was blunt force trauma injuries. A toxicology report is pending.

Peoria police were dispatched to the intersection of Arago and Grinnell streets around 2 p.m. Monday on a report of a crash between an electric scooter and vehicle.
Investigators believe that Johnson ran a stop sign while traveling west on Grinnell Street and collided with the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, an adult woman, was uninjured.
The driver was cited, however, for suspended registration, driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol.
