Hurricane Helene's path of destruction has affected millions of Americans, including PGA Tour star John Daly.

In a video shared to X by PGA Tour Champions on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the professional golfer, who lives in Florida, revealed that his home and homes of several family members were lost in the storm.

"It was bad," Daly, 58, said. "I mean, I feel for everybody. I'm surprised we didn't lose more people. But it's sad for the ones that we did. And it's devastating. It's the worst I've ever seen. Hope everybody gets safe and gets their homes back. But my heart goes out to everybody."

Daly went on to detail the extent of the loss suffered by his family.

"We're going to have to do about three and a half homes, almost four," he continued. "I just haven't gone back into mine, I've restructured it and I've fixed it. I haven't been in it in two years, get all the stuff in there, and then it's all gone."

Daily added, "Anna's mom lost her house, Matty's burned down yesterday morning, and Chrissy, she had to get a boat to get hers. So they're all pretty much gone."

"So sorry John, and sorry for all your friends and neighbors....just glad most are safe as I could have been a lot higher death toll... Thanks goodness it wasn't worse but so sorry for those who lost loved ones," wrote one X user.

Some pointed out that even though his home was destroyed, Daly was still in a better position than many others.

"As unfortunate as it may have been for him, I’m sure there’s people around him Might be suffering a little more. That dude could live out of an airstream for the rest of his life and be perfectly happy. Legend," commented another person.
