Pisces horoscope: Take a look at the week and month ahead
In conversation with astrologer Kesaine Walker, USA TODAY explores the Pisces Zodiac sign, diving into key personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and romantic compatibility. "Through my experience with astrology, I was able to see how self-mastery could change my life profoundly," Walker shared in an email, classifying her practice as both an astrologer and energy healer as a leap into helping others become more self-aware. "To know yourself is to love yourself," she says.

When does Pisces season start?
Pisces season 2022 runs from February 19 to March 20. It is a water sign, the final of the Zodiac, and is symbolized by the fish.
Key personality traits of Pisces
Pisces are highly creative and imaginative, Walker reports, as well as compassionate and loving. Their emotional sensitivity factor is high, helping them to remain in tune with others but also leaving them vulnerable to criticism, worrying a lot about the effect that their actions might have on others.
While Pisces do not like to be pushed into something before they are ready, when they do become ready, they'll give it their all, Walker says. "When Pisces finally decide to make their move, they're prepared to give everything they have and work tirelessly until the task is complete," she explains.
Pisces thrive on spontaneity and love to be able to go with the flow, Walker shares. The twelfth sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is a water sign that is highly in tune with the feelings of others, she says. They sometimes put their own needs on the back burner to make sure others are happy. Their intuition helps them guide others often effortlessly.

Career
Any career that demands intuition and creativity is a great fit for a Pisces, Walker says, also citing adviser and therapist as relevant job options as Pisces are great listeners and highly emotionally intelligent.
Pisces are people-people. They have a deep seeded desire to help others, making a career in medicine or spirituality another natural fit.
Though Pisces can sometimes get lost in their imagination, when they decide they want to commit to something they will put a full-force effort into it, Walker reports.
Relationships
"Pisces are known for being the most sensitive sign of the zodiac," Walker says, describing them as compassionate and caring, easily willing to put others first.
They want very much to feel love and adoration from a partner and sometimes tend to come on a little strong, dedicating themselves to a significant other full force early on. "When Pisces falls in love, they fall hard," Walker explains.
As far as compatibility, Pisces Walker cites Taurus and Cancer as possible soulmates, as there might be a shared understanding of heightened emotional vulnerability. "A Virgo could also work," she says, "but it would take time for them to break down the wall Pisces puts up around themselves."

Weaknesses
Pisces can be particularly sensitive to criticism, Walker says, pushing them towards people-pleasing tendencies at times in an effort to win the approval of others.
"They can also be self-deprecating, which can cause them to underestimate their worth," Walker says of Pisces. "It may take a lot of work from their friends and family members to convince them they deserve respect and care."
Strengths
Walker lists the key strengths that a Pisces might boast as:
Strong intuition
Belief in the good of the world
Highly compassionate
Understanding
Loving
Imaginative
Creative
Spiritual
"Pisces is the most gentle of all the signs," Walker explains. "They see the world through rose-colored glasses."
Since Pisces is ruled by Neptune, which is associated with dreams and spirituality, these signs are oft intuitive, with hunches that it's not wise to question.
Pisces also have an unshakable faith in the world's goodness, Walker says. "These sensitive souls trust that kindness will prevail, even in the face of darkness and hardship," she explains.
Walker also reports that Pisces are excellent friends. "They see everyone as equal and believe everyone deserves kindness and respect regardless of their circumstances," she explains, calling them compassionate and immune to cynicism.
