The Beckley Outdoors Economic Action Plan proposes to transform the city of Beckley into an outdoor recreation destination and the Basecamp Beckley Brand Strategy is to improve the infrastructure and modernize the town.
The Beckley Outdoors Economic Action Plan is a result of over 12 months of intensive planning led by the City of Beckley and its many partners. The goal is to create this community-led vision outdoor infrastructure that helps with the economy as well.
Mitch Lehman, the Director of Outdoor Economic Development for the City of Beckley shared why these plans will benefit the City of Beckley and its residents.
“What we’re trying to do is maintain what Beckley already has and simply just improve on the stuff that’s surrounding, and also by identifying new assets that we can bring into the city, then we can start to develop those out,” said Lehman.
