During surveillance, detectives said Bowers was seen getting into the passenger side of a Nissan with a temporary tag in the area of Dickerson Road and Skyline Ridge.

The vehicle fled when officers activated their blue lights to perform a traffic stop, officials said. However, officers were able to deploy a spike strip, which made the vehicle come to a stop on the side of Dickerson Road.

An arrest report states Bowers and the driver ran away from the vehicle, but were quickly taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.

During a search of the Nissan, officers allegedly found 30 grams of marijuana and 9 grams of fentanyl inside. When they retraced the area where the items were thrown, they located numerous baggies containing approximately 113 grams of methamphetamine and a bag with 115 blue “M 30 pills” inside.
