POLL: Did Biden make the right decision in dropping out of the presidential race?

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — President Joe Biden announced his departure from the presidential race on Sunday.

With a new opening for the Democrat nominee, many are wondering: Did President Biden make the right decision in dropping out of the presidential race?

The decision comes after a week of increasing pressure to quit the race, as some influential Democrats, including former President Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi, expressed their doubts about Biden’s future.

A poll from the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that nearly two-thirds of Democrats wanted Biden to withdraw from the race.

According to The Hill, there have been talks among Democratic strategists about who would be best fit as Harris’ Vice President if she were to be the nominee. So far, three contenders are being discussed— Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.
