Pop queen Beyoncé set to take the stage with Kamala Harris at Houston rally
WASHINGTON – She was the rumored guest who never showed at the Democratic National Convention.
But this time, it’s not a rumor.
Beyoncé is taking the stage with Kamala Harris.
The pop queen will appear with the Democratic presidential nominee at rally in Houston on Friday, according to Reuters.
Harris, who is locked in a close race against Republican Donald Trump, is heading to Texas to support another Democrat, Colin Allred, who is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.
Beyoncé, who hails from Houston, is expected to perform, Reuters reported, and will come with her mother, Tina Knowles. A representative for Beyoncé did not immediately return a request for comment on Thursday.
Beyoncé's support of Harris is no surprise.

Tina Knowles immediately endorsed Harris for president after she announced her bid. Harris' running mate Tim Walz has been deemed a certified Beyhive member. And last summer, Harris attended Beyoncé's Renaissance concert just outside of Washington after the superstar gifted her tickets.
On top of those ties, Beyoncé's camp gave Harris approval to use Beyoncé's 2016 song "Freedom" featuring Kendrick Lamar on the campaign trail.
The joy is over: As election nears, Kamala Harris tone goes dark
The superstar’s connection to Harris led to rumors during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August that she was going to be a surprise guest on the convention’s last night, when Harris delivered her acceptance speech.
But there was no surprise guest – Beyoncé or anyone else.
This time, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” chanteuse will go full Sasha Fierce for Harris.
