Port Allen man arrested on 450 counts of child porn, $1M bond set
WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection to child porn on July 19.
Calvin Collins, 37, of Port Allen was arrested on an active warrant obtained by the Louisiana Office of the Attorney General Cyber Crime Unit on Friday on 450 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Collins has been booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center. His bond is set at $1,000,000, according to West Baton Rouge Sheriff Jeff Bergeron.
No further details were immediately available.
According to Louisiana state law, the penalty for being convicted of pornography involving juveniles is to be fined not more than $50,000 and between five and 20 years imprisonment.
