Power outage reported in Metairie after vehicle hits pole
METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — More than 2,000 people were without power in Metairie on Sunday, July 14, after a vehicle reportedly hit a power pole.

In a social media post, Jefferson Parish Councilman At-Large Scott Walker said the vehicle hit a gas meter and a power pole near Hudson Street.
Walker said the Jefferson Parish Fire Department is at the scene, and residents in the area were evacuated.
According to the Entergy Outage Map, 2,650 Metairie residents experienced the outage.
