Precautionary water advisory lifted for the Ruidoso Water System

RUIDOSO, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Environment Department’s Drinking Water Bureau confirms the precautionary water advisory has been lifted for the Ruidoso Water System.

The precautionary advisory was originally issued on June 18, 2024 in response to the impact from the Salt and South Fork wildfires. NMED worked with the Village of Ruidoso during recovery efforts and has lifted the advisory for the Ruidoso Water System.

The precautionary advisory remains in place for the following water systems:

  • Tall Pines Water Association

  • Ceder Creek

  • Alpine Village

  • Gavilan Hills Water System
