METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden visited the City of New Orleans on Tuesday, Aug. 14 to discuss the latest in their cancer-fighting initiative, Cancer Moonshot.

After the event, they didn’t leave before enjoying some New Orleans cuisine at Drago’s in Metairie.
The Bidens sat at a table of nine and enjoyed some charbroiled oysters, fleur de lis shrimp, alligator and even a cheeseburger.
They then took photos with owner Tommy Cvitanovich, his family and staff who said that serving them was an honor.

“It was just an incredible honor to you know, it doesn’t like I said last night, it doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or Democrat to have the president of our great country in our restaurant is something that I am incredibly proud of. Really cool. And we’ll do something that not only I my kids will talk about because, like I said, they got to shake hands with the president as he walked in,” said Cvitanovich.
Keeping with the celebrity theme, Cvitanovich says he is looking to host Taylor Swift when she comes to town in October for three days of her Eras Tour.
