Presidential election odds continue to narrow with Kamala Harris' selection of Tim Walz
Betting odds on the presidential race continued narrowing Wednesday following Vice President Kamala Harris's announcement that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz would be her running mate.
The two major candidates started the campaign with Trump leading Harris at -200 to +200 at U.K. bookmaker Bet365. Two weeks into the campaign, Trump's lead but was only -138 to Harris' +110. As of Wednesday, Trump still holds the lead at -125 but Harris stands at even money as Walz's rollout continues a wave of Democratic momentum at the betting window.
The shift is reflected in other books USA TODAY has regularly surveyed as offshore bookmaker BetOnline has the odds tied at -105.
The ticket's barnstorm through swing states this week could further narrow the odds heading into the Democratic National Convention in less than two weeks.
Also in the mix is Trump's interview with X owner Elon Musk on Monday. Trump announced the interview on his social media platform Truth Social, though details ? including when and where the interview will be available to watch ? were not included in the post.
Musk had not posted on his X account about the interview as of Wednesday afternoon.
