Pressure Drop Brewing announces closure of Elmwood pub
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Pressure Drop Brewing will close its Elmwood Avenue pub at the end of September, it announced Friday in a social media post.
In the post, it said its last day will be on Sept. 29 and that Pressure Drop beer will still be available at local merchants, bars and restaurants following its last day.
“To our patrons and friends: It’s with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce the closing of our Elmwood Ave pub at the end of September,” Pressure Drop said in the post. “We’re thankful for the community that made our pub a special place to gather, have a great meal, and of course, enjoy a beer or three.”
Pressure Drop originally launched in 2017 and opened the pub in March 2022 at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Grote Street.
The closure follows its announcement in July 2023 that it was putting itself up for sale, offering its operation, equipment and furnishings at both its Vandalia Street brewery and the Elmwood Avenue pub.
