Rainy Friday, fall-like weather arrives this weekend
Showers and storms will remain likely within Acadiana today as a weak tropical disturbance stays offshore. A Flood Watch is in effect until this evening as periods of heavy rains are still possible, especially south of Interstate 10. Be careful to avoid any areas of flash flooding that could occur today. Like yesterday, the clouds and rains will keep temperatures in the 70s to 80s. Rain chances slowly taper off this evening and tonight.
The weather improves over the weekend as a cold front moves through Acadiana late Saturday. Sunday should feel more like Fall with cooler air and less humid conditions along with mostly sunny skies.
