BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Many Western New Yorkers have friends and loved ones that live in areas that were recently impacted by Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene.
Some ways Western New Yorkers can help the Red Cross Response to these areas to help those affected by these disasters are:

The Red Cross of WNY said that there is an urgent need for volunteer shelter workers.
To help find more volunteers with the Red Cross, this Saturday, the Red Cross of Western New York is holding a volunteer boot camp for those interested in responding to disaster relief efforts this fall.
The volunteer boot camp will offer all necessary training, conduct the required background checks, and get all materials in order so that these attendees can deploy this fall.
