The trailer for Do Revenge is here and you’re going to want to see it. It’s Strangers on a Train by way of Jawbreaker, and if that isn’t enough to shoot it to the tippy-top of your must-watch list, it’s also super queer.

According to the official synopsis, Drea (Camila Mendes) is the queen bee of her high school until she’s turned on by her seemingly perfect boyfriend. He leaks her sex tape to the entire school, ruining her reputation and social standing and sending her on a mission for revenge. She finds a kindred spirit (aka someone just as thirsty for vengeance) in Eleanor (Maya Hawke), the school’s awkward, queer transfer student who has her own vendetta in mind. In her case, the school bully, Carissa (Ava Capri), has been spreading rumors that when they were younger, Eleanor held her down and tried to kiss her. When Drea and Eleanor meet at tennis camp, they begin hatching a plot to, well, do revenge — criss-cross-style, of course.

That begins with a makeover to transform the frumpy Eleanor into a “high style c*nt” so that she can get close to Drea’s ex Max and expose the performatively woke bro for the misogynistic phony that he is. Meanwhile, Drea begins insinuating herself into Carissa’s life to “burn her to the ground.” It’s chaotic girl rage bathed in a candy-colored pastel aesthetic. In other words, we’re already obsessed

The film also stars Rish Shah, Talia Ryder, Jonathan Daviss, Maia Reficco, Paris Berelc, Alisha Boe, and Sophie Turner. It’s the sophomore effort from director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Someone Great) and is co-written by Celeste Ballard and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who previously collaborated on the (underappreciated) revenge series Sweet/Vicious.

Do Revenge premieres September 16 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
