Richard Armitage's new thriller confirms release date
Richard Armitage has confirmed the release for his audiobook thriller, The Cut, with fans not having to wait long.
The Audible release takes place in the remote village of Barton Mallet, where a long-unsolved murder is brought back into sharp focus after a Hollywood film begins filming in the area.
The audiobook was unveiled by Audible’s official social media channels, with an Instagram post teasing a quote as well as the release date as it said: “You can’t escape your past. The truth is about to be dragged back into the light. ?? Releasing 22nd August, pre-order The Cut now.”

Armitage, best known for his roles in The Hobbit and Fool Me Once, will narrate the book alongside Jacob Dudman, with the price currently set at £13.12 – a 12% saving on its full price – on Amazon.
“Welcome to Barton Mallet, a remote village in the Midlands that has been chosen as the unlikely location for a new feature film from Hollywood producer Max Crow,” reads the synopsis.
“Teenagers from the local drama group are encouraged to audition for a story about the trials and tribulations of growing up. Benjamin Knot, the CEO of a well-known architecture firm, discovers that his children, Lily and Nathan, have each been offered a role.
