Riverfest at River Rocks returns Oct. 1 with Drake White, Anderson East as headlining acts
Last year, Riverfest returned to Gadsden, and it looks like it's gonna be around for a while.
The second Riverfest at River Rocks event will be Oct. 1 at River Rocks Landing Resort & Venue located at 1 River Road in Gadsden. It is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and end around 10 p.m. Tickets currently are available and can be purchased on Riverfest's website here.
The show will feature co-headliners – country music star and Hokes Bluff native Drake White and Americana musical artist Anderson East.
Taking the stage before White and East will be country-rock artist Kasey Tyndall. In addition, the early Riverfest opening act will be Jon Player.
White had hit singles earlier in his career with "Simple Life," "It Feels Good" and "Livin' The Dream." He released his full-length debut album, "Spark," in 2016 and the EP "Pieces" in 2018.

Drake White: Revived in body and spirit, with new perspective (and album)
After a health scare in 2019, White came back to release his second album, "The Optimystic," earlier this year.
East, originally from Athens, is known for his sound that blends country, roots rock, soul and R&B into its own unique concoction of musical brew.
After putting out two self-released albums, East in 2015 saw his first major-label debut, "Delilah," come out. It featured the hit song "Satisfy Me" and reached No. 7 on the Billboard U.S. Folk chart.
East's next album, "Encore," was released in 2018 and rose to No. 3 on the Billboard U.S. Folk chart. In 2021 East put out his third major-label album, "Maybe We Never Die." East also is know for dating country superstar Miranda Lambert for a number of years.
