RNC 2024: We're ready to answer your questions and give you a (virtual) backstage pass
Don’t have tickets to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.
My name is Sam, and I’m an election reporting fellow for USA TODAY. I’m headed to the RNC where I’ll be making you, the voters, the VIP through our SMS campaign, Your Vote.
Republicans from across the country will be headed to Wisconsin to officially nominate former President Donald Trump as their candidate to take on President Joe Biden in November, and USA TODAY will be there every step of the way.
Here’s what you need to know about getting a (virtual) backstage pass to the RNC.

What is Your Vote?
Your Vote is USA TODAY’s SMS texting thread where we share original reporting from our newsroom directly to your inbox.
Not only will you get headline news messaged right to you, but you’ll also have access to behind-the-scenes content and the ability to text our team with election questions just like you would with any of your politically engaged friends!
Don’t worry, this isn’t a massive, nation-wide group chat. You’ll only receive messages curated by our team and direct answers from our host (that’s me!).

How do I sign up?
If you’ve got a minute to scroll through the news on your phone, you've got time to sign up.
Just enter your phone number below, and you’ll be prompted to confirm your free subscription.
You can also text us at 301-888-6791 to be prompted to sign up.
What kind of messages can I expect?
The RNC will take place from Monday, July 15 to Thursday, July 18.
During the convention, I’ll be in Milwaukee with our team of journalists, sharing with you everything from the news of the hour to closer looks at what it's actually like to be at a party convention.

I'll also be doing what GenZers do best — texting, of course.
Curious about what politicians do between sessions or not sure about the delegate voting process? Any questions or comments you have about what's happening, send them my way and I'll send you and/or the group back a text.
This will be my first convention, and I'm so excited to share the experience with you.
While I'm packing my bags for Wisconsin (I'll be leaving a lot of room for cheese curds to bring home), get your VIP pass to all things USA TODAY elections and sign up for Your Vote.
See you in Milwaukee!
