When the RNC comes to town, Milwaukee Art Museum admission will be free
Admission to the Milwaukee Art Museum will be free when the Republican National Convention is in town, as a result of a partnership between the art museum and Baird.
According to a news release from the art museum, the two partners will hold a press conference on Sunday, July 14, "highlighting all the opportunities at which both entities look forward to engaging with community members and visitors" before the RNC convenes on Monday, July 15.
“Milwaukee is home to a vibrant, rich arts community, which Baird is excited to help showcase as thousands of visitors travel to Milwaukee this summer,” Baird chairman and CEO Steve Booth said in the statement. “We are pleased to spotlight Milwaukee as a destination, welcoming new and returning visitors to experience all the city has to offer.”
Here are museum's hours during its free admission week:
Sunday, July 14, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Monday, July 15: closed to the public
Tuesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 17: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday, July 18: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
