Are any crashes causing delays on the freeways in the Milwaukee area during the 2024 Republican National Convention?
Here's an overview:
The left lane at Interstate 94 (east 0.3 miles beyond the ramp from WIS 100) near the Milwaukee County Zoo is blocked due to a crash at 9:14 p.m.
Other incidents Sunday afternoon and evening included:
A disabled vehicle that was blocking the right shoulder at Interstate 794 West at I-94 West as of 7:11 p.m. Sunday is now clear.
A crash that caused two right lanes to be blocked at I-43 North at WIS 145/Fond Du Lac Avenue just after 6 p.m. has been cleared.
Also, the right shoulder at I-43/94 North (0.5 miles beyond I-41/94 North) that had been blocked due to a disabled vehicle is now clear.
A crash around 4:45 p.m. at I-43 North at Kilbourn Avenue that blocked the left shoulder in downtown Milwaukee has been cleared.
RNC 2024 in Milwaukee
Traffic is expected to be heavy amid the RNC in Milwaukee this week with significant security around the city.
The RNC begins Monday. There is a welcome party at the Summerfest grounds on Sunday along the lakefront in downtown. Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, arrived in Milwaukee Sunday a day after being the target of an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
