Driver identified after fatal Route 502 crash
SPRING BROOK TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have identified a man killed in a crash on Route 502 Saturday afternoon.
Pennsylvania State Police identified the man as 23-year-old Ryan Ayers from Kingston.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle at 4:22 p.m. along Route 502 in Spring Brook Township.
Pennsylvania State Police say the crash occurred as Ayers was traveling east going around a curve on PA-502, and entered into the westbound lane of PA-502.
Ayers then crashed into the left side of a 2004 Chevy 2500 HD traveling in the opposite direction, according to the release.

Route 502 was closed between both intersections of Ashton Mountain Road, officials add.
The man driving the 2004 Chevy 2500 HD was transported in unknown condition to Geisinger CMC.
PSP Dunmore is handling the investigation.
