Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye, Aaron Tippin are Aug. 16 grandstand entertainers
Get ready for the Roots and Boots Tour at the Brown County Fair featuring chart-topping country music artists Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye and Aaron Tippin.
This year's Brown County Fair is Aug. 14-20. Kershaw, Raye and Tippin will be the featured entertainment at the Larry Gerlach Grandstand for the Wednesday show on Aug. 16, according to Monday morning announcement by the Brown County Fair.
Raye has 25 Top 10 records and 16 No. 1 hits including "Little Rock", "Love Me" and "My Kind of Girl." He is also a 10-time Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music nominee.
Tippin released his first single in 1991. That song, "You've Got to Stand for Something," featured the message of standing up for one's personal believes and became a popular anthem for soldiers fighting in the Gulf War. Other popular hits include, "There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio" and "Workin' Mans PhD."
While Tippin is making his first appearance at the Brown County Fair, Kershaw returns to the Hub City. Kershaw was last in Aberdeen in 1999 dazzling the audience with hits like “Cadillac Style”, “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” and “Don’t Go Near Water”.
Monday's announcement is the first release of 2023 grandstand entertainment. Tickets go on sale in March.
