New Savvy Sliders restaurant to open in Metairie
METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — A Savvy Sliders franchise location is opening in Metairie on Wednesday, Aug. 14, and is the first of five locations from the brand that are coming to Louisiana over the course of six months.
What’s the latest on the film industry in Louisiana?
The Michigan-based company is reportedly the fastest growing slider restaurant in America and is now expanding into Louisiana by opening its first new location at 2565 Metairie Rd. Other locations to be opened in the state are expected in Harvey, Covington, Mandeville and Kenner.
Savvy Sliders is built on selling fresh, never frozen sliders and offers a variety of options for customers. A few options for their bigger sliders include certified angus beef, English cod, chicken and a falafel vegetarian option.
Savvy’s is reportedly also famous for their “Duo Switch Up” combo, which allows people to choose any two sliders along with fries and a drink.
For those who aren’t so keen on sliders, the restaurant also offers hand-breaded chicken fingers and hand-spun custard shakes.
Abandoned Bywater naval base cleared out for new development
The new location will be open Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
