Scattered downpours Thursday-Friday! More typical summer pattern by the weekend.
NEW ORLEANS — Quite a few downpours today across coastal South Louisiana with areas near Houma approaching 3″ of rainfall. The extra rain & cloudiness kept the temperatures down for many.
Tomorrow-Friday, expect more scattered thunderstorm action with less widespread coverage compared to today and yesterday. Rain coverage around 40-60% with the highest coverage closer to the coast.
As high pressure gradually builds into the area late weekend, highs will creep a few degrees above average. Rain chances more seasonal at the 30-40% variety.
