Sean “Diddy” Combs is moving to reverse a lawsuit where he was ordered to pay a man $100,000,000  in a default judgment for sexual assault. According to AllHipHop, the Hip-Hop mogul filed an emergency motion seeking to have the judgment overturned. The outlet reported attorneys filed two motions relating to the case after Judge Anna Marie Anzalone ruled that he pay Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith after Combs failed to appear at a virtual hearing.

“This is a frivolous lawsuit against a prominent businessman, based on obvious fabrications, filed by a convicted rapist and serial litigant with an overactive imagination and a thirst for fame,” the motion reads, per AllHipHop.

“Defendant, who was never served with this lawsuit, learned about Plaintiff and this action for the first time three days ago, when media outlets reported that this Court had entered a $100 million default judgment against him.”

On Tuesday, the ruling detailed allegations that Diddy visited Cordell-Smith after he became incarcerated and offered him $2,300,000 to drop charges against him. Cordell-Smith claims, “Diddy stated that he would make me an offer to end the case and what happened to me because of other things that he stated he has going on in his life that require his money right now.”

Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo issued the following statement to VIBE regarding the judgment at the time:

“This man is a convicted felon and sexual predator, who has been sentenced on 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the last 26 years… His resume now includes committing fraud on the court from prison, as Mr. Combs has never heard of him let alone been served with any lawsuit. Mr. Combs looks forward to having this judgment swiftly dismissed.”

Combs faces multiple lawsuits alleging sexual assault, abuse, and other criminal behaviors, the most recent filed by Dawn Richard.
