Sean “Diddy” Combs was spotted outside just shortly before his arrest. According to TMZ, the disgraced Hip-Hop mogul entertained a group of fans in New York on Monday night (Sept. 16), seemingly happy and unaware that federal investigators would have him in custody only thirty minutes later.

In a clip uploaded by the tabloid, the 54-year-old is smiling with four unidentified people, giving handshakes as one of them laughs. The interaction occurred in Midtown Manhattan near the Park Hyatt hotel where the arrest was made. TMZ also shared images of the Bad Boy Entertainment founder at the hotel with his associates.

He and his son Christian “King” Combs were also spotted earlier in the evening taking selfies with fans. Last week, the Harlem native was seen in his hometown with previous Bad Boy Records artist G. Dep. The “Special Delivery” rapper uploaded a photo of himself to Instagram with his former boss, writing, “Praise the Creator!!!”

The New York City meet and greets preceded the anticipated arrest by federal investigators. On Tuesday morning (Sept. 17), Combs appeared in court to face racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges, per NBC News.

According to NBC, the indictment alleged Combs “threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires,” and created “a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in” various crimes, such as “sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

“He’s not guilty. He’s innocent of these charges,” asserted his attorney Marc Agnifilo according to CNN.

The charges come nearly six months after Homeland Security raided Combs’ properties as part of a sex trafficking investigation. Law enforcement confiscated “laptops, flash drives, and anything that would connect Combs with the allegations.”
